Greenfield Senior Living to Operate Assisted Living and Memory Care Services in Old Winchester Hospital
May 9, 2016
Greenfield has been contracted by Healthcare Development Partners (HDP) out of Chicago, IL to operate 65 assisted living and memory care units in the Old Winchester Hospital on Cork Street in Winchester, VA. The hospital will also house inpatient/outpatient rehab services and hospice care. It will focus on all things senior and healthcare related in a hospitable and welcoming environment.
The Old Winchester Hospital which was built in the 1960’s remains a historic building in the Winchester community. While the interior of the hospital will undergo construction renovations, the historic and significant presence of the building will be honored and respected by all parties involved. There is an anticipated grand re-opening date for May 2017. Greenfield Senior Living currently manages four senior communities in the Shenandoah Valley offering independent living, assisted living, memory care and hospice care. Greenfield’s strong presence in the Valley and proven track record for providing exceptional senior care made Greenfield the natural choice for HDP and Valley Health to form a strategic alliance. This will provide substantial opportunities and benefits for the Winchester community.
In order to provide updates on the project, Greenfield Senior Living has plans to open an information center on the Pedestrian Mall in Old Town Winchester, VA this coming summer. This center will provide insight into the progress of the renovations and the innovative services to be provided, all the while embracing the charm and home-town feel of the historic community.
